Genuine silver pigment watercolour.

Shell silver is made from pieces of actual ground silver (for instance leftover from the gilding process). Named for the medieval use of sea-shells to hold such pigments.

It can be used to repair gilded surfaces, or for creating highlights. Shell silver does not require sizing, like powdered silver. And has a gum arabic base.
