Even combining Cadmium Yellow and Cadmium Red results in a noticeably duller orange compared to the vivid Cadmium Orange pigment. Understanding the complementary nature of orange and blue opens up possibilities for creating a spectrum of neutrals. The specific combination of Cadmium Orange with blues like Cerulean, Ultramarine, or Cobalt produces a diverse range of neutral tones. The mixture with Cerulean Blue yields soft and beautiful neutrals, while the combination with darker blues introduces a mysterious quality.
