Lapis Lazuli.
Historically significant pigment, derived from the semi-precious stone lapis lazuli. This paint has been prized for centuries for its vibrant, deep blue colour with subtle, natural variations that give it a luminous quality.
Our Lapis lazuli is sourced from the Sar-e-Sang mines in northern Afghanistan.
The highest quality raw stone is crushed and ground into a fine powder.
Highly lightfast and stable.
Milled in refined linseed oil. No fillers, driers or waxes added.
Drying Time: Moderate drying rate.
Toxicity: Lapis Lazuli is non-toxic.
